Candlewood's Ministers
The church is not a building or a program, rather it is a people (1 Peter 2:9). The people who compose the church are individuals called into it by their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." (Mark 1:17)
Many churches operate on the concept of hiring professional ministers to do the work of ministry. In contrast to this pattern, the New Testament church was characterized by local assemblies of believers, gifted individually by the Holy Spirit, mutually ministering to one another and to the world around them.
In view of the New Testament teaching and experience, Candlewood Community Church is structured and conducts ministry according to this biblical pattern.
A body of believers ministering to one another.
- Gifted men and women doing the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:11-16)
- Faithful men and women who are reaching out and discipling others (2 Timothy 2:2)
