The Savior is Born
Shepherds?! Why did the angels go to the shepherds with the announcement of the birth of the Savior? Why not the king? Instead, a huge crowd of angels showed up in the fields that night with the Good News. Well, for one thing, even though society considered shepherds to be almost as lowly as you could get, God holds the concept of shepherding in high regard. And another thing; once the shepherds saw the baby, they could not shut up about Him. Perhaps that had something do do with it and it certainly sets the example for how we should handle that Good News.
