What We Believe About Worship
While singing songs in the Gatherings and Community Groups is a vital form of praise, we believe that worship is much more than that. Dedicating our lives to serving Jesus is our ultimate act of worship. Romans 12:1 says, “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
Worship, then, involves our every waking moment if it’s done perfectly. It’s not an event or activity; it’s how we do everything we do. Music, though, is one form of worship that has always been close to our hearts. Scripture shows us the vital role music plays in the worship of God. Psalm 66:2 says, “Sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!” Don’t forget that the Psalms are not the only song lyrics in the Bible. There are countless songs recorded in scripture.
Worship Team
Our worship team leads the musical expression of worship during Gatherings at Candlewood. Music is a gift from God, intended to assist us as we develop and deepen our relationship with Him. The desire of the team is to use their gifts to make a beautiful, joyful sound in singing praises to our God and to help you sense and appreciate His presence..
