Preacher: Jerry Petersen | Series: Sunday 01-04-14 |
Introduction: Does God have a specific will for your life?
God does not necessarily require us to understand His will, just ______________, even when it seems unreasonable.
How does the will of God work?

The Father has a specific plan for your life.
God has given each of us our own custom __________.
You may consider yourself unimportant, but no one is insignificant in God’s eyes.
We each have gifts and God wants us to _________ them.
The Father has equipped (or will equip) you to fulfill your calling.
God will never call you to something and then not ___________ you to do it.
The Lord reveals His will in small areas and larger ones.
The reason so many of us don’t know more of God’s will is that we are not obeying that part of His will that we __________________.

	Biblical Illustrations

God told Noah to build a huge boat.
From a human perspective, God’s instructions to Noah were _____________!
Jesus delayed traveling to the home of Mary and Martha when Lazarus was sick.
Even when He’s four days late, He’s ________ ____ _________.

 Personal Examples
My boss thought I was nuts for being ___________ about my intentions
Conventional wisdom would ______ _____ ______ ______ ______.
How can you discover the will of God?

_______ your Bible and start reading.
	Ask God to _______ ____ _______ _________.
Watch how the Lord works through _____________.
	Listen to godly ___________.
	Be ___________.
