If you ask the average person to describe “church,” they will probably describe a large building with a steeple and a cross.
That’s not the picture described in the Bible. The early church met in homes and was enormously successful! They gathered with family and friends in their own neighborhoods. In other words they worshipped, learned, and served side by side with the people they rubbed shoulders with the rest of the week. As a result:
- The Gospel dynamically spread.
- People developed significant and authentic relationships.
- All the believers discovered and practiced their spiritual gifts.
- People became more like Jesus in their daily lives.
- It was easier and more natural for people to genuinely encourage each other and bear each other’s burdens.
The Elder Team
We invite you to explore what God is doing at Candlewood Church.
We meet in Community Groups in homes located throughout the area. See the locations below. Every other week we gather as a larger group we call The Gathering at the home of Jim and Beth Reed.
We desire to be that vibrant, caring group of believers who are actively loving each other and reproducing Jesus Christ in all areas where God has strategically placed us.
