I have had numerous conversations with fellow believers who have been genuinely distraught and upset at the church for sending money and missionaries to other cultures around the world. They have even tried to pin me with various scripture passages to bolster their side. (That side being that we need to keep all of our money and resources home for our church, our buildings and our facilities.)
God’s word is very clear regarding these matters and the scripture for this week in Acts 11:1-18 really exposes His heart.
As we are examining this text, the real issue might just be the realization that God’s mind has not changed and in light of that fact…How do I personally fit into His plan for getting the gospel to those around me and also to those not around me? Do I have the courage to begin to answer that question?
