When you think back over the many people you have known in your life…who has impressed you most? Why?
What characteristic about them made such an impression?
Remember the old phrase, ‘I’d rather see a sermon than hear a sermon!’
In this scripture study from John 13:1-17, Jesus gives the apostles a sermon that they could see! An out-of-the-box experience that would genuinely influence them for the rest of their lives. Jesus, quickly reflecting on this event, said, ‘blessed are you if you do them’. Explicitly saying that you need to continue to do, what you just saw me do.
This has always been the challenge in following Jesus, doing what He did, reacting like He did, and speaking like Him. So how are you doing with that in the life experiences God has intentionally placed you?
