When Adam and Eve first disobeyed, they brought death upon the human race. But humans were not the first to die as a result of sin. Imagine their shock and dismay as they saw God kill an animal (likely one that was dear to them) in order to cover their nakedness. Later, He would kill His own Son in order to cover our sin with His own righteousness.
